Bio

Mr. Lancaster is an attorney with success as both a litigator and counselor-at-law. In private practice, Mr. Lancaster has represented individuals and corporate entities in matters, including, but not limited to, employment law, medical peer review proceedings, and business litigation against public and private entities. He also successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District resulting in a published opinion regarding the law of anti-SLAPP. As former general counsel for Vitargo Global Sciences, Inc. and Aquahydrate, LLC, Mr. Lancaster demonstrated a strong command of business transactions, corporate compliance and civil litigation and he continues to support small and
mid-size businesses.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Lancaster served governmental entities and elected officials in California as a trusted advisor of intergovernmental affairs for over 14 years. Working for the California State Senate, Los Angeles City Council, and the Los Angeles Unified School District, Mr. Lancaster is experienced in local and state politics, land use, public policy and government affairs.

Mr. Lancaster graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Mr. Lancaster obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California and is a published author in the Howard Law Journal. A member of the State Bar of California, Mr. Lancaster is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeal of the Ninth Circuit as well as all federal courts in California.

Civically, the Alameda County Bar Association and the Contra Costa County Bar Association. A member of the Section 1983 Pro Bono Panel for the United States District Court, Eastern District of California (“Eastern District”), Mr. Lancaster was awarded the 2013 Joe Ramsey Service Award for rendering excellent pro bono service. Mr. Lancaster also serves as a Neutral for the Volunteer Dispute Resolution Program panel for the Eastern District mediating federal American with Disability Act cases.

Donald is married for 17 years and they, along with his beautiful daughter reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
